24-Hour Emergency Electricians in Fort WorthSummer is around the corner, which means it’s time to prepare for storms that develop quickly this time of year. Summer storms are usually accompanied by strong winds, lightning, heavy rain, and hail, which can take a toll on electrical systems. The last thing you want is a blackout following a thunderstorm, leaving you without power for days or even weeks. Mr. Electric recommends a preparedness checklist to help residential and commercial clients prevent damage and make it easier to respond during adverse weather conditions. Here’s a detailed summer storm season checklist to help you make informed decisions.
Heat pump units and air conditioners can be vulnerable during harsh weather conditions, especially if loose branches or debris are nearby. Before summer storms hit, take time to check the area around the unit and remove obstructions that could blow into it. By keeping the space around your electrical appliances clear, you can help reduce the risk of debris blocking air circulation and causing damage during strong winds.
The guys were super nice, I loved that they did the work immediately. Also after having a discussion with them about the static electricity from a lightenimg strike we had and it fried everything they suggested a surge protector to keep that from happening again. So we did that.
Scheduled an appointment with Mr Electric of Fort Worth and received a call they were able to show up early and had Dylan show up on time stocked with a full truck. He was able to diagnosis the issue quickly and restore my power to a few plugs that were causing the breakers to trip continuously. Dylan was very knowledgable, clearly explained the cause and how he would fix the issue, and addressed all concerns that we had. He was replaced two breakers and installed 2 new outlets along with diagnosing the problem in about an hour. Very quick and so far seems to have resolved our electrical issue. Would definitely recommend Mr Electric of Fort Worth!
Dylan was so nice and always on time. Very qualified and explained everything he needed to do in a way I understood. My older house required an outside panel so I had a lot of work but Dylan and his helper worked together very well and finished on time so I was not out of power more than needed. Everything looked and worked great when done. I don't know how he was able to replace the cracked power pole and wiring on my roof so quickly and beautifully. I am very, very impressed with his skill level and would request him for any future work. The company is very well organized and office contact was a pleasure to work with(which is rare since these positions are usually underpaid)so reward her well, she is the "door" to your organization. She and Dylan sealed my deal!
Cody was professional, knowledgeable, and was able to provide me with a quick diagnosis pertaining to a wiring issue in one of my rooms. He gave me the price for the repair/modification and fixed the issue all in less than an hour. Thanks Cody!
When summer storms roll in, having a functional sump pump can make a big difference. These systems rely on a steady power supply to pump out excess water and reduce the risk of basement or crawlspace flooding. Before heavy rains hit, schedule an inspection with your local electrician in Fort Worth, TX to ensure the sump pump is running as expected and has power. Professionals can pinpoint warning signs that can worsen if ignored, providing peace of mind that your unit is in good working order.
Lightning often causes power surges that disrupt electricity flow and damage connected appliances. If the forecast reports possible storms coming, unplugging sensitive appliances that are rarely in use can help reduce potential damage. Additionally, investing in professional surge protection installation services can help protect valuable electronics and ensure lasting protection when you need it most. A licensed electrical service provider can assess your layout and recommend a surge protection system that aligns with the specific needs of your electrical infrastructure.
Nothing is more frustrating than a blackout disrupting daily routines and causing inconveniences. While preventive measures like surge protection installation can help you protect sensitive devices, it doesn’t protect you against outages. With this in mind, adding a backup power source to your electrical setup can keep devices running when the grid goes down. A battery storage system is often a good fit for short-term backup power, but a standby unit is ideal for long-lasting blackouts.
We provide reliable, professional electrical services backed by licensed electricians and upfront pricing. Our team is committed to safety, quality workmanship, and on-time service for every job. With trusted local expertise and customer-first care, we deliver solutions you can count on.
Now that you know the areas to focus on before summer storms hit, you can take a more proactive approach to protecting your home. Once the harsh weather conditions pass, take time to inspect your home for visible damage to your electrical system. Check every plugged-in appliance and make sure they are functioning as expected. This process should be conducted by a trained electrician to ensure it is done right the first time. Professionals understand the complexities of different systems and accurately diagnose issues that may go undetected before they worsen.
The reality is that severe weather is unpredictable. With that said, preparing early can make a significant difference in how your home or business handles heavy rains, strong winds, and lightning strikes. By hiring Mr. Electric for routine inspections, you can protect your system and reduce the chances of costly damage. Contact us today to book an appointment with our experts and ensure your electrical system stays running, even during harsh weather conditions.
