READ THE ONE-STAR REVIEWS FOR AN ACCURATE PICTURE OF SERVICE NOT PROVIDED. Don't think the inflated price is buying you superior service. That was my error. Five non-consecutive days on a "one-day project" because Michael and Ray kept messing things up. I have lost track of the excuses, although the best one involved possible raccoons under the house. There were no raccoons under the house. Ray was extremely condescending about how this was an unusual situation for the company and their service šŸ•ā€šŸ¦ŗ is normally very good. Why would I care? It's my situation and it was awful. Michael needs to keep his personal life to himself. Bring on the response, Owner. I will be delighted to reply with ALL of the screw ups by your company.

don’t use them, they overcharge. extremely disappointed with this company… The guy Solomon, who answered the phone is a very nice person, Carlos And Jimmy, who came to my home are also kind and considerate… But to charge Double for something that you shouldn’t is ridiculous, I needed a floodlight ring camera installed in the backyard. They hit me with a $530 estimate, my regular electrician is out of town and this should only cost me somewhere between $200 and $300. Solomon told me I’d have to pay the $60 service fee if I did not go forward with a service, I said that’s fine because I didn’t expect the price to be outrageous… Then the appointment comes and they want over $500 for something that I knew should only cost a couple hundred dollars They lied on the estimate/invoice saying that I declined a safety check… I absolutely did not decline a safety check, I would’ve absolutely said yes to that had one been offered, but it was not offered. ā€œCUSTOMER HAS DECLINED THE COMPLEMENTARY HOME ELECTRICAL SAFETY CHECK THERFORE SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO INSPECT ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTā€ 1.00 $59.95 they called this the dispatch fee 1.00 $0.00 $0.00 Free safety check that I did not get. And it certainly was not offered. 6 years ago in 2020: I love the job this company did! Cody was courteous and so professional. He replaced the outlet in the kitchen and added two brand new outlets in the master bedroom. Im very happy! I will use this company again for all my electric needs. As the voice of the company for 1st time customers calling in, Ms. Desiree is the person who answered the phone, she is really down to earth and makes setting an appointment easy and comfortable

Do not use them. I called and got on the schedule. They then called back and pushed it back an extra day. On the day they were supposed to show up, no one came by and so I called and they said ā€œwe have nothing scheduled for you.ā€ Highly do not recommend.

I used them on two occasions: first, to convert an outlet for an oven (double amp), and second, to replace a burned switch (which I supplied). The service was VERY costly, with unclear pricing. The claimed service fee waiver appeared to be simply an adjustment (add and subtract). For each visit, the cost exceeded $400 for work completed in under an hour. While the technicians were courteous and demonstrated professionalism, they did not exceed basic expectations given the price. I had to specifically request that the replaced switch and converted outlet be properly mounted to the wall.

Do not use this company. They charged $400 just to screw the meter back to the wall, then immediately tried to sell us over $13,000 in additional electrical work, saying it was all ā€œrequiredā€ by code if a permit was pulled. They cited a bunch of NEC codes to make it sound mandatory, but those codes only apply to new construction or major replacements; you aren't required to upgrade your entire electrical system just because of one small repair. This company uses ā€œcodeā€ language to scare homeowners into expensive and unnecessary work, which is predatory and unethical. They're a complete waste of time and money and they ate up hours of my Saturday with this BS.

I always get a operator message saying that the number is not in service and then a few minutes later usually somebody calls me back from a different number.

Will not give even a budgetary price for a ceiling fan install.

High pressure extortionist tactics. No agreement, no estimate. They didn’t do anything and tried to charge us $400+. There was no agreement for what they would charge, no explanation on what they would do, and they’re trying to force a payment for work they didn’t even perform. They said they found nothing wrong, then said they would stay there until we paid them. Pound sand! No way are we going to pay that.

I hired Mr. Electric to fix one and install a new GFCI outlet, but the experience was frustrating from start to finish. After the electrician left, my kitchen cabinet lights, living room lights, and dishwasher stopped working. I called right away, around 30 minutes after the electrician left and I noticed the problem. Although the issue was likely going to be covered under their work warranty, they wouldn’t send anyone until the original electrician was available four days later. After multiple calls and an email, a manager finally called me 3 days later and after pleading on the phone, agreed to send a different electrician, who quickly fixed the mistake. Customer service was poor—there’s no way to speak directly with management, only a scheduling department that ā€œpasses alongā€ messages where you have to hope they will eventually reach out to you. Their invoices aren’t transparent, with no breakdown of labor vs. parts. I was additionally charged $135 for changing a small wire in my outlet. The electrician gave a technical reason for the change. $135 felt like a lot given the minimal additional work and small wire change but you’re totally trusting the electrician. Since electricians are paid by the job, it’s hard not to question the upsell, especially since their invoices don’t break down labor and part costs. They don’t provide estimates over the phone. Their argument is, things could change or be different once on site. Yeah, that could happen, but that’s why it’s called an estimate to begin with. I can understand if it’s a complex job request, but for simple jobs like converting an outlet to GFCI, this policy is more about serving their business model because by not disclosing pricing over the phone, and charging a $60 trip fee, a customer is more likely to be backed into a corner and just accept the work since the electrician is already there, they want the problem fixed, and they are already in it for the $60 if they decline. Overall, the experience felt impersonal and profit-driven. This experience reaffirmed why I prefer working with small trade companies where the owner is the electrician or tradesman themselves that answers the phone and performs the work. Similar to going to the small local auto mechanic who is transparent and honest versus going to a big dealership where they overcharge and you feel as a customer, a small fish in their big sea

These guys are absolute crooks. Trying to charge me 10k for an electric panel swap. 1500 average job, worst case scenarios 3k. Estimate legit had 700$ charge to install a breaker, almost 5k for the panel alone. Only positive, tech was super nice which is probably why they have decent reviews. People need to research before being ripped off by these people. Response: Since Google won't actually let me reply to your response. Your response is simply gaslighting. Blaming me for having unrealistic expectations. Sorry but I've done market research on what a panel change should cost and it's not 10,000$ and breaker cost 50$, it shouldn't cost 650$ to have your technicians "verify" connection. I am not just basing this off Google searches either. The first estimate I received after yours was literally less than half for a larger panel. Your company believes because you pay more to be the top Google search you can justify ripping off hardworking people. Truth is your rating would be under 3 if people just called 1 other company instead of letting your company use scare tactics like "their house is gonna catch fire" to charge ridiculous amounts.

Ask for an engineer to give me a quote for a new generator, was here 5 minutes and charged me $60 never got the quote and never heard back from the company despite ringing multiple times for an update. Avoid at all costs!!

Pros: very friendly staff Cons: I definitely will never use this company again and would discourage other to use them as well. Their ethics are highly questionable. I was charged $530 to replace 2 standard light switches that took the technician maybe 15 minutes to install. When he told me how much it was I was in shock. I paid it but when the shock wore off I searched on the internet what it should have cost. About $125 each switch and that was on the high end. On their website it says they do online estimates. That is a lie. They charge $60 for estimates. If I had known before I scheduled an appointment how much it was going to cost, I would have gone a different path. This company is unethical but hey, at least they are polite when they screw you over.

I called and set an apt with Mr Electric of Fort Worth this afternoon for a 3:00pm-6:00pm apt for a service call fee of 59.95. I received a text message saying the apt had been scheduled. No one showed up and then I received a call that said it was now after hours and they would charge 259.95. No, thank you - you should have honored your commitment.

Being a Journeymen electrician with the union for 10 years I consider myself knowledgeable enough to discuss my job over view with another tradesman. I called Mr. Electric out for a bid on cabling in a new construction 28 unit RV Park. Two guys showed up completely unknowledgeable about local guidelines and zero knowledge of what they were even looking at. Obviously the job was way outside of their scope of knowledge. It was even hard on the ears listening to them talk. I had to draw the line when one of the reps couldn't even look me in the eye and started referring to me as a 3rd party while I'm standing there. I felt like I was getting dumber just standing next to them. I simply stopped them mid conversation thanked them for their time and walked away. These two are probably great for coming out to change your light bulb or flip your breaker switch.

Mr Electric charged $518.12 to replace plug receptacle. Part less than $25/- Scrawled/Forged my husband's signature (attached below) on the letter sent registered return receipt requested. I talked with the general manager George Dupont who did not offer any help. He said he has evidence which I requested he send to me. I made inquiries and the charges should not be anymore than $100/-.

High pressure sales and rude people. Read the reviews

Extremely poor experience. I hired Mr. Electric to diagnose and repair a GFCI outlet that would not reset. The technician began troubleshooting and claimed he discovered the issue. I approved the work ($408.45) and after it was completed, the issue was not resolved. The GFCI would not reset. The technician proceeded to continue troubleshooting and after he inspected another outlet by pulling it out of the wall and putting it back in, the circuit started to work normally. The technician claimed he did not know why it started working. This gave me very little confidence in the work. I should not be charged for a job that did not resolve my issue. Attempts to get a hold of someone at Mr. Electric has been extremely frustrating. Many phone call attempts and a month later, I still do not have resolution. Avoid this company. Note: The work that was performed (that did not resolve my issue) was quoted by two other licensed electricians for half the price. This is for a simple rewiring of a receptacle/basic pigtail. Always get other quotes before you approve any work!

Just wanted a rough quote to install a light fixture but Mr Electric wanted a $49 service call to write up a quote. Probably a great company other than that.

I had a lighting circuit that went out on me out of nowhere so I called around to get prices for an electrician to come out and take a look at it. I explained the problem to Mr. Electric, they asked questions and took notes on the issue and said it costs $50 for them to come look at it and then if there is any additional work/parts needed they would go over it with me at that time. The guy came out, didnt introduce himself, and took 2 minutes to take a picture of my panelboard and flip the breaker then said it would cost me $250 to perform a diagnostic. I was taken back by this because he still had no idea what the problem was. If I said yes I would be $300 in the hole BEFORE determining any cost of wire/part replacement and work to fix the problem. The booking lady called me up and didnt seem concerned with my issue with this surprise $250 fee that I felt should have been explained when I booked the appointment. Also that $250 was for a 1 hour maximum diagnostic time. She said ok you can go find someone else who is cheaper and was happy to collect my $50 just for showing up. I spoke calmly the entire time. I am not an electrician and respect the skill of their work and time but $250/hr seems outrageous to me.

I called them to fix one issue and then created another issue and now want me to pay for it. Worst company and unethical practice.

Mike Patel

Caveat Emptor. No chance that I am paying $50 dispatch fee. No work was done. No service provided. The bid offered was ludicrously high, over $600 labor to replace two ceiling fans. I sent away your agent immediately after hearing the proposed cost. Your website describes ā€œFree estimatesā€. This dispatch or estimate fee was not disclosed by the website or the telephone appointment scheduler. In addition, the appointment scheduler declined to offer an estimate for this simple and common repair. I am copying the Texas Secretary of State and filing a complaint online in hope that they will investigate this attempt at extortion. It’s of great interest that consumer reviews on Yelp and Google describe this same shabby business practice. I am obviously not the first victim of this scam. Got a quote to install an Interlock Kit so that I could run a portable generator in case of emergency. I was quoted $1900. I took a few days to think about it. I’ve now spent 4 days back and forth asking for an itemized explanation of the quote. Keep getting told that I had been given a discount, and it would be more if they rework the quote. They are unwilling to actually address my concern of being overcharged. I found another licensed electrician that will do the job for 1/3 of the cost.

Super high price quote.

They did not show up when I called to let them know several days before the schedule was paramount with other services that were also being performed. They NO SHOW and make me cancel three other contractors that were on site waiting for them.

Lance Lammons

This is honestly the WORST quality and customer service from a company I've ever received. This is not an exaggeration. They have been rejected for inspections multiple times for my home and have put a HUGE SETBACK in my progress. They have no sense of urgency and do not care about their work at all. They did not coordinate with inspectors nor did they even LOOK at what they didn't get approved on. This was an absolute mess. Waste of time and waste of money. Do not use this company.

Joanne Strand

Absolutely terrible experience. My electric inspection got rejected 6 times. This company has put my house renovation OFF track for almost 3-4 weeks. In this process, I am losing LOTS of money. Terrible customer service. When you call them, the front desk people know absolutely nothing. When you call the electricians, they don't pick up. BEWARE - DO NOT USE THEM. They will DELAY your process and get rejected by inspection multiple times. HUGE waste of money and HUGE waste of time.

Joanne Strand

My appointment was 8am to 12pm. I waited 6 hours just to be told i had my information backwards. Wow no thank you.
